There was an interruption to the water supply to some residents in Harrow Weald today due to a burst water main.

At 9:55am, Affinity Water posted an update on their website that said: “Our repair team has arrived on Brookshill and are now digging to expose the burst pipe. We should know how long this will take us to repair once we have exposed the pipe.

“We’re really sorry and we’re working hard to get your water flowing again soon.”

Harrow Council tweeted: “ROAD CLOSURE: We’ve been informed Affinity Water have closed BROOKSHILL due to a burst water main, with traffic being diverted via Clamps Hill and Uxbridge Road. The works are expected to last until Tuesday.”

Although the water supply issue has now been resolved, crews from Affinity Water are still on site in Harrow Weald fixing the road (Brookshill) which remains closed as of 6:00pm today (17 August).
